The Associates Degree in Nursing
Within 4 years, you can acquire an associates degree in nursing and work directly with patients in a hospital or clinic setting as well. However with an associates degree, you’ve already earned credits applicable toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Many nursing students with an associates degree go on to pursue a BSN. Since the first two years of a BSN program focus on technical nursing skills – the necessary training that an associate degree begets, you’ve already won half the battle so-to-speak should you decide to pursue a BSN as well.
